ABOUT THIS SESSION:
A key premise of a Business Rules Management System (BRMS) is that it allows business experts to have visibility and control over the policies that drive operational systems. Successfully achieving this goal requires providing the right tools for each stakeholder involved in rule management ? for business users, this means giving them the ability to author and maintain rules in a familiar and easy-to-use environment. This presentation will show how ILOG Rule Solutions for Office enables productivity, collaboration and ease of use by integrating Microsoft Office Word and Excel with ILOG?s market-leading BRMS, allowing declarative decision logic and associated policy content to be easily managed by the people responsible for making sure that mission-critical systems are aligned with organizational objectives. What you will learn:
The importance of having full integration between desktop applications and a BRMS when using document-based rule management
How document-based rule management allows for collaboration between different stakeholders involved in managing mission-critical business decisions
